Major repairs are continuing on the Sabirabad road, which branches off at kilometer 10 of the Hajigabul-Bahramtapa-Minjivan highway in Sabirabad District.
The Azerbaijan State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads provided the information to “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
The agency said that, as part of the overhaul of the 40.9-kilometer road, work is being carried out to rebuild the roadbed and foundation, lay a new asphalt-concrete surface, install drainage structures and complete other necessary construction work.
To date, earthworks and construction of the lower and upper layers of the road base, as well as the lower layer of the asphalt-concrete surface, have been completed along a total of 13.5 kilometers, covering sections from kilometers 10 to 20.2 and 37.6 to 40.9.
Preparations are now underway to lay the top layer of asphalt-concrete on those sections. Drainage pipes with a combined length of 138 meters have also been installed at various points along the road as part of the project.
Major repairs are continuing in accordance with the sequence set out in the project.
