Qarabag president says club may make new signings

Qarabag football club needs to strengthen its squad with new players, the club’s president Tahir Gozal told APA.

"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that Gozal said he was satisfied with the level of the team’s current players, but noted that new signings needed time to adapt to one another.

“I fully agree that we still need transfers. However, the transfer window is not currently open. Once it opens, Qarabag has both the budget and the strength to make signings,” Gozal said.

Gozal noted that following the club’s previous successes, several key players had left the team and new players had been brought in to replace them.

“Very good footballers have been signed, and I am very satisfied with our players. However, adaptation takes time. As always, we have great hopes for Qarabag and we have the strength,” Gozal added.

Transfer windows are designated periods during which clubs can register players and complete most permanent transfers. Clubs often use these periods to reinforce their squads and address gaps identified during the season.
