On August 23, President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the "Azerbaijan" park in the city of New Tashkent.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the park is designed to serve as a public space that reflects Azerbaijan's rich culture, centuries-old history, and traditions. The initiative plays a vital role in further strengthening the bonds between the brotherly peoples of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
The establishment of an "Uzbekistan" park in Baku and an "Azerbaijan" park in New Tashkent serves as a tangible symbol of the deep-rooted friendship, mutual respect, and cultural affinity between the two nations. These projects underscore the robust and dynamically developing strategic partnership between Baku and Tashkent, which has seen significant growth in political, economic, and cultural cooperation in recent years.
