President of Peru sends congratulatory letter to Ilham Aliyev

The President of the Republic of Peru, José María Balcázar Zelada, has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the message states:

"Your Excellency, Mr. President.

On behalf of the Government and people of Peru, and on my own behalf, it is a great pleasure to convey my most sincere congratulations to Your Excellency on the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Taking this opportunity, I express my best wishes for the prosperity and progress of the Republic of Azerbaijan and reaffirm my determination to further deepen the political dialogue that has been established between Peru and Azerbaijan over the past three decades. I am confident that our joint efforts will serve the sustainable development of our countries and contribute to the expansion of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Once again conveying my congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I would like to take this opportunity to express my deep respect and esteem for Your Excellency."

Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Peru were established in 1996. Since then, the two nations have maintained a constructive dialogue, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring avenues for cooperation in various sectors, including trade, culture, and international diplomacy. Such congratulatory messages are a standard diplomatic practice, reflecting the ongoing commitment of both nations to foster friendly relations and mutual understanding on the international stage.
