President Ilham Aliyev has expressed his gratitude to Slovak President Peter Pellegrini for accepting his invitation and visiting the Garabagh region.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, during a joint press statement in Shusha, the head of state emphasized that trade, economic relations, energy, and military-technical cooperation are among the top priorities for both nations. President Aliyev noted that the discussions were sincere and open, and that the visit would continue in Baku. "I thank him once again for accepting my invitation and visiting Garabagh. This demonstrates the sincerity and friendliness of our relations," President Aliyev stated.
The visit of the Slovak President underscores the deepening strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Slovakia. Over recent years, the two countries have cultivated strong bilateral ties, with high-level exchanges becoming frequent. President Pellegrini, who has previously visited Azerbaijan in various official capacities, including as parliamentary speaker and prime minister, continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening the cooperation between the two nations, particularly in the energy and economic sectors.
