Discussions focused on AI, supercomputer centers, and Azerbaijan's investment climate

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Adrian McDonald, President for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Dell Technologies, one of the world's leading IT corporations, in Davos on January 21.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the sides emphasized that the favorable investment climate in Azerbaijan remains highly attractive for foreign investors. The meeting highlighted Dell Technologies' ongoing activities in Azerbaijan, specifically the establishment of a supercomputer center in the country. Participants exchanged views on utilizing the center's resources for artificial intelligence (AI) applications and data-driven decision-making processes.

The discussions also covered cooperation in building and modernizing IT infrastructure, network equipment, data centers, and cloud infrastructure projects. Both parties explored potential collaboration on the design and implementation of advanced data centers to further digital transformation in Azerbaijan. These initiatives align with the broader economic strategy supported by US President Donald Trump's administration to foster international technological partnerships.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. The annual forum serves as a premier global platform where heads of state, business leaders, and international organizations gather to discuss pressing global issues, economic trends, and technological innovation. Azerbaijan has consistently utilized the Davos platform to strengthen bilateral ties with global tech giants and promote its regional position as a growing digital hub in the South Caucasus.
