According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the leaders expressed satisfaction on the anniversary of the Washington Summit. They emphasized that the Washington peace summit and the Joint Declaration signed under the witness of US President Donald Trump, along with the initialing of the agreement on establishing interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, have effectively ended the conflict and solidified peace in the region.

The leaders noted with satisfaction that the region has maintained peace and stability over the past year, with no incidents threatening the peace process. Furthermore, the export of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia, the transit of goods through Azerbaijani territory to Armenia, and the initiation of trade relations between the two nations were highlighted as positive developments.
During the call, the parties discussed the significance of the TRIPP project for regional connectivity. It was noted that transport infrastructure projects within Azerbaijan are nearing completion, and hopes were expressed for the swift commencement of TRIPP-related works within Armenian territory.
The heads of state also discussed matters on the bilateral agenda. The signing of a document on strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the US was hailed as a historic event, marking a new, high-quality level of relations that contributes to peace and stability across a broader region. President Ilham Aliyev thanked the US President for the invitation to the G20, describing it as a testament to the positive relations between the two countries. Both leaders expressed confidence in the continued successful development of the Azerbaijan-US strategic partnership.
