The heads of state expressed satisfaction with President Pezeshkian's previous visits to Azerbaijan and the productive negotiations held during their meetings, noting that these interactions have significantly contributed to the development of bilateral ties. A key point of discussion was the ongoing construction of the automobile bridge connecting the Aghband and Kalaleh settlements over the Araz River, which is proceeding according to schedule.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed concern regarding the current regional situation and stated that Azerbaijan is ready to contribute to de-escalating tensions. He emphasized that Azerbaijan consistently advocates for resolving such issues through dialogue and mutual understanding. In turn, President Masoud Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the call and the constructive stance.
