On August 23, President Ilham Aliyev held a one-on-one meeting with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In recent years, the two nations have significantly deepened their cooperation, particularly within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, aiming to enhance regional connectivity and economic integration between the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
