President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the letter says:
“Dear Emomali Sharifovich,
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, I extend my most sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to the entire Tajik people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.
Over the past 35 years, under your far-sighted and decisive leadership, Tajikistan has made significant progress in state-building, establishing internal stability and achieving socioeconomic development, while strengthening its influence and position on the global stage. Tajikistan’s history of independence and all its achievements are associated with your name.
It is gratifying that the friendship and brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, reflecting the will of our peoples, who share common religious, cultural and historical roots, are growing stronger and being enriched with new substance day by day. Undoubtedly, active high-level dialogue, regular contacts and our close cooperation create conditions for these ties to develop and deepen more rapidly.
I am confident that Azerbaijan-Tajikistan relations and strategic partnership, based on mutual trust and support, will continue to develop on an upward trajectory and grow stronger through our joint efforts.
Dear Emomali Sharifovich, on this festive occasion, I wish you robust health, happiness and success in your responsible activities, and eternal peace, prosperity and well-being to the fraternal people of Tajikistan.”
