President Ilham Aliyev has emphasized the dynamic development of relations between Azerbaijan and Czechia, highlighting the high level of political engagement between the two nations. Speaking during a joint press conference in Baku, the head of state noted that the visit of the Czech Prime Minister serves as a clear indicator of the strengthening ties and mutual interests between the two countries.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev stated that the discussions covered a wide range of topics of mutual concern. "Today, an exchange of views was held on many issues—regional, bilateral, and those of a more global nature," the President said, underlining the strategic importance of the partnership in the current geopolitical landscape.
Relations between Azerbaijan and Czechia have evolved significantly since the signing of the Declaration on Strategic Partnership in 2015. Czechia remains one of Azerbaijan's key partners within the European Union, particularly in the energy sector, as Azerbaijan contributes to the energy security of Central Europe. Beyond energy, both nations are actively exploring opportunities in transport, high technology, and agriculture to further diversify their economic cooperation and increase bilateral trade turnover.
