Temporary power outages will occur in several residential areas of the Lankaran district today due to scheduled maintenance and repair work.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Azerishig OJSC, the disruptions are necessary to facilitate technical upgrades on the power grid. Specifically, repair teams will be working on the 10 kV overhead line No. 3, originating from the 110/35/10 kV "Lankaran-2" substation, as well as the 10 kV overhead line No. 5 from the 35/10 kV "Liman" substation.
As a result of these technical measures, electricity supply will be restricted in the villages of Sutamurdov and Veladi from 10:00 to 13:00. Additionally, power cuts will affect the villages of Gumbashi and Shiringuyu between 14:00 and 16:00. Officials stated that once the maintenance is completed, these areas will benefit from a more stable and higher-quality electricity supply.
Lankaran, located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, is a key economic and agricultural hub. The national power operator, Azerishig OJSC, regularly carries out such infrastructure improvements across the country to modernize the grid and ensure the reliable distribution of energy to both urban and rural populations in line with Azerbaijan's regional development programs.
