A small plane crashed in a rural area of Agua Boa, a city in Brazil’s central-western Mato Grosso state.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that, according to local authorities, the aircraft went down about 18 kilometers from the city center and 730 kilometers from Cuiaba, the state capital.
The plane caught fire and was completely destroyed on impact.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene used about 4,000 liters of water to extinguish the flames.
The bodies of three people were found completely burned among the wreckage.
The remains were taken to the relevant authorities for identification and forensic examination.
There was no immediate information about where the plane had taken off from or where it was headed.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the crash.
