Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has arrived in Yerevan to participate in the high-level international gathering of European leaders.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Sanchez was welcomed at Zvartnots International Airport by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. The visit follows a brief delay; although the Prime Minister was scheduled to arrive on May 3, his aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in Ankara due to technical issues.
The Spanish leader is in the capital to attend the 8th European Political Community (EPC) Summit, held on May 4 under the motto "Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe." The summit serves as a critical forum for heads of state and government to discuss the pressing security and economic challenges facing the continent.

The European Political Community is a strategic platform established to foster political dialogue and cooperation among approximately 50 European nations. Aimed at strengthening security, stability, and prosperity across the continent, the EPC held its inaugural summit in Prague on October 6, 2022. Subsequent meetings have taken place in Chisinau, Granada, Oxfordshire, Budapest, Tirana, and Copenhagen, reflecting the platform's expanding role in European diplomacy.
