On March 9, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, made a phone call to the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova.
According to information provided by the Operative Information Center-OMM from the Milli Majlis (National Assembly), concerns regarding the ongoing processes in the region were expressed during the telephone conversation.
The parties also reviewed issues of bilateral, trilateral, and multilateral cooperation between the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan and the National Assembly of Pakistan. The importance of dialogue between parliaments in terms of ensuring peace, stability, and cooperation was emphasized. Azerbaijan and Pakistan maintain a high level of strategic partnership, frequently coordinating their positions within international organizations and supporting each other's territorial integrity and national interests.
