At least 33,000 residential buildings have been damaged in Tehran as a result of military strikes conducted by the United States and Israel, according to official reports from the Iranian capital.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Abdolmotahar Mohammadkhani, the spokesperson for the Tehran Municipality, confirmed the scale of the destruction. He stated that 1,869 families have completely lost their homes, while approximately 1,245 families have been relocated to 23 residential complexes across the city. Mohammadkhani added that repair work is currently underway in more than 4,000 residential buildings to address the structural damage.
The strikes are part of a broader military campaign that has intensified in recent weeks. Since February 28, US forces have reportedly carried out more than 12,300 strikes against various targets within Iran. These operations, conducted in coordination with regional developments, have led to significant humanitarian challenges in major urban centers, including Tehran, as local authorities struggle to provide emergency housing and restore essential infrastructure for the displaced population.
