During the current academic year, 37,401 children have been enrolled in 333 preschool educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Baku City Education Department (BŞTİ).

According to the department, more than 21,000 children were enrolled in school preparation groups for this academic year. Furthermore, it was noted that 21,384 children have successfully completed these school preparation programs.
School preparation groups in Azerbaijan play a critical role in the national education system, serving as a bridge between preschool and primary education. These programs are designed to develop social skills, basic literacy, and numeracy, ensuring that children are psychologically and academically ready for the formal school environment.
