One person was killed and 11 others were injured in an attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) said early Monday.
The authority said the person killed was a Pakistani resident. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
The attack also caused material damage, which was still being assessed, GACA said.
The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said an unidentified projectile struck Terminal 4 at the airport on Sunday afternoon, starting a fire.
The incident came a day after a separate strike on the airport killed 12 people and injured more than 300. The Saudi-led coalition blamed Yemen’s Houthi group for that attack and vowed a firm response, describing it as a violation of international humanitarian law.
