Santos forward Neymar considers Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal the world’s best footballer.
The Brazilian footballer shared a Sofascore post on his social media account. The post compared Yamal’s start to the 2026/27 season with Neymar’s performances for Paris Saint-Germain in the 2017/18 season.
According to Sofascore, Yamal averaged 8.61 in his first 10 matches of the season. Neymar added the words “Lamine Yamal is the best player in the world” to his post.
Yamal is considered one of the favorites for the 2026 Ballon d’Or. The ceremony will take place on October 26.
