Barcelona coach Hansi Flick assessed Lamine Yamal’s performance after the team’s match against Galatasaray in the second round of the Champions League league phase. The Catalan side beat their opponents 4-1 in Istanbul.
The 19-year-old Spanish winger provided two assists. Speaking to UEFA’s official website, Flick highlighted Yamal’s performance, particularly after halftime.
“Lamine was fantastic in the second half, and that was very important for us. He is in excellent physical shape and enjoys his football. You saw how he played after the break. He changed the course of the match in our favor,” Flick said.
In the third round of the league phase, Galatasaray will visit French club Lille on October 21. Barcelona will travel to Paris to face PSG on October 20.
