“There is no country without problems in its education sector. There were problems when I was in office, there are problems today, and there will be problems in the future. In my view, however, one of the most serious issues in education was teachers’ pay.”

He said the issue was now being resolved: “Today, this matter is gradually being addressed, step by step. Teachers’ salaries have risen noticeably compared with my time in office and continue to increase year by year. School principals’ salaries have also increased. This is a very positive development. International practices are being studied, brought to our country and implemented. Serious attention is being paid to the publication of textbooks and teaching materials. Curriculum reform is continuing in our country. Our schools are being equipped with modern facilities.”

Education systems around the world face ongoing challenges, including teacher pay, curriculum design and access to learning resources. Reforms in these areas can affect classroom conditions and the quality of education.
