The first plenary meeting of the 2026 autumn session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) is being held.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the meeting began with the national anthem, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Milli Majlis.
The agenda includes 16 issues, including a statement by the Milli Majlis marking Sept. 27 — Remembrance Day — as well as the legislative work plan for the parliament’s 2026 autumn session.
Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova is chairing the meeting.
The autumn session is part of the Milli Majlis’ regular legislative calendar, during which deputies consider draft laws, parliamentary statements and other matters within the institution’s mandate.
