The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan has exposed a large-scale, coordinated disinformation campaign orchestrated by Armenian lobby groups and various foreign circles aimed at undermining the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to the Temporary Commission on Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats, recent monitoring has identified systematic efforts to target Azerbaijan's international reputation and its ongoing efforts to establish regional stability.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the commission released a statement detailing how Armenian lobby organizations, foreign citizens with specific influence, and various media outlets have been operating under a unified set of provocative theses. The investigation revealed that the campaign utilized encrypted messaging platforms, private email channels, and closed groups to coordinate narratives regarding the city of Khankendi, alleged "prisoners of war," and other fabricated claims. Analysis of the "X" (formerly Twitter) social media platform over the past week showed that more than 220 posts were disseminated via 130 different accounts, reaching nearly one million interactions. These activities were particularly concentrated among lobby groups based in the United States, Europe, and Russia.

This exposure comes as Azerbaijan continues its efforts to stabilize the South Caucasus following the full restoration of its sovereignty over the Garabagh region. The Milli Majlis commission emphasized that these hybrid threats are designed to disrupt the fragile peace process and damage interstate relations by involving foreign parliamentarians and local officials in various countries. Azerbaijan has repeatedly called for an end to information warfare and has maintained that regional peace must be built on the principles of territorial integrity and non-interference in internal affairs. The commission's findings highlight the proactive measures Baku is taking to safeguard its national interests against sophisticated foreign interference and digital disinformation.
