Milli Majlis announces agenda for upcoming session

The agenda for the upcoming session of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan, scheduled for April 21, has been announced.

According to information provided by the parliament to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the session's agenda includes eight key issues for deliberation.

The items on the agenda are as follows:

  • 1. The report on the activities of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025.
  • 2. Draft law on amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (third reading).
  • 3. Draft law on amendments to the Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the laws "On Information, Informatization and Protection of Information" and "On Media" (third reading).
  • 4. Draft law on amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan (third reading).
  • 5. Draft law on amendments to the laws "On State Executive Officers", "On Execution", and "On Encumbrance of Movable Property".
  • 6. Draft law on amendments to the Labor Code and the law "On Narcological Service and Control" (second reading).
  • 7. Draft law on amendments to the Criminal Code and the law "On Combating Terrorism" (second reading).
  • 8. Draft law on amendments to the Tax Code and the laws "On Education" and "On Demining Activity" (second reading).

The Milli Majlis serves as the unicameral legislative branch of the government in Azerbaijan. These scheduled discussions reflect the parliament's ongoing efforts to modernize the country's legal framework and enhance oversight of state financial institutions. The inclusion of amendments regarding demining and media laws highlights Azerbaijan's current domestic priorities, particularly concerning regional security and the regulation of the information space.
