Mikhail Zabelin awarded Order for Service to the Fatherland

Mikhail Yuryevich Zabelin has been awarded the 1st degree "For Service to the Fatherland" Order by the decree of the head of state.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree on conferring the high state honor.

The order was bestowed upon Mikhail Zabelin in recognition of his long-term and fruitful activity in the public and political life of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It is noteworthy that Mikhail Yuryevich Zabelin, a prominent member of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly), will celebrate his 80th birthday tomorrow.

Mikhail Zabelin has served as a deputy in the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) for multiple terms and is the head of the Russian Community of Azerbaijan. His career has been marked by efforts to strengthen inter-ethnic relations and civil solidarity within the country.
