First Vice President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva has shared a post on her official social media accounts commemorating the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the tribute reads: "Heydar Aliyev – 103. The bright, dear memory of the great personality will live forever in our hearts. We remember and commemorate him with love."
Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the modern independent Azerbaijani state, served as the President of Azerbaijan from 1993 to 2003. His leadership is widely credited with rescuing the country from the threat of civil war, establishing long-term political stability, and launching the fundamental economic reforms that defined Azerbaijan's contemporary development. Every year, the people of Azerbaijan honor his legacy on May 10 through various state-level ceremonies and public events across the country and in diplomatic missions abroad.
