Masoud Pezeshkian thanks President Ilham Aliyev for support

"During my conversation with my brother Ilham Aliyev, I expressed my gratitude to the government and people of Azerbaijan for their support."

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian shared these remarks on his social media account.

"Friendly and brotherly nations seek each other out in difficult times. The deeper the civilizational roots, the stronger this bond becomes," the Iranian leader added in his post.

The exchange highlights the ongoing diplomatic dialogue between Baku and Tehran, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation. Azerbaijan and Iran share a long history of cultural and religious ties, as well as significant economic interests, particularly in transport and energy projects within the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) framework. Such high-level communications underscore the commitment of both nations to maintaining stability and fostering mutual respect in the South Caucasus region.
