Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca has spoken about the atmosphere in the stands after his side’s away match against Liverpool in the sixth round of the English Premier League. City won the match 3-0.
Liverpool fans voiced their hostility toward the visiting team throughout the game. This came after Manchester City was found guilty of breaching financial rules.
“We have to learn to deal with the noise because it will be there in every away game. We have to create our own noise. Our noise is winning. The feeling we shared with the fans after the match was fantastic, and that is exactly our noise,” Maresca said, according to BBC Sport, as cited by Sky Sports.
Liverpool and Manchester City played on October 11. Erling Haaland scored in the 65th minute, Jeremy Doku in the 68th and Rayan Cherki in the 78th. Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was sent off in the 62nd minute.
