Man jumps onto metro track in Baku

At 5:53 p.m. on Sept. 25, a male passenger jumped onto the track on the Baku Metro section between Memar Ajami and 20 January stations.

The information was provided to “Operative Information Center-OMM” by Baku Metro CJSC.

The contact rail was immediately de-energized in connection with the incident.

“The passenger was removed from the track in accordance with procedure and handed over to police officers.

Power was restored 13 minutes later, at 6:06 p.m.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.

There are currently no delays in train intervals on the Green Line, where the incident occurred,” the statement said.
