LPG tanker hit by debris from unknown projectiles in Strait of Hormuz

An LPG tanker was struck by debris from unknown projectiles while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) center said.

According to the UKMTO, all crew members were safe and there was no environmental impact. The tanker was expected to continue to its next port of call.

Authorities investigate incident

Authorities were investigating the incident, the maritime agency said in a statement posted on the US social media company "X".

The UKMTO urged ships passing through the strait to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity. No further details were immediately available.

The incident was the second such report issued by the UKMTO in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.
