Liverpool is considering bringing in two midfielders. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Merseyside club is interested in Alex Scott, who plays for Bournemouth, and Monaco player Lamine Camara.
Since the appointment of Spaniard Andoni Iraola, Scott has become one of Liverpool’s priority transfer targets. The English player previously played under Iraola at Bournemouth. The 23-year-old midfielder could cost Liverpool around £100 million. Chelsea are also interested in Scott.
Camara could be a more affordable option for strengthening the midfield. The Senegalese player came close to joining Chelsea last summer, but Monaco declined to approve the transfer in the final stages of negotiations.
According to Transfermarkt, Scott’s market value is €70 million, while Camara’s is €55 million.
Liverpool are currently fifth in the English Premier League, nine points behind leaders Manchester City.
