Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva has visited the family of the Hero of the Patriotic War, martyred Senior Warrant Officer of the State Border Service, Shahin Allahyarov.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Leyla Aliyeva first viewed a memorial corner dedicated to the martyr's memory. During the visit, she spoke with the martyr's mother, Nargiz Allahyarova, and listened to her memories of her son. They viewed photographs reflecting various periods of the martyr's life and watched video clips he had sent to his family during the Patriotic War.
Nargiz Allahyarova expressed her satisfaction with the attention and care shown to the families of martyrs in Azerbaijan. Expressing her gratitude to the head of state and his family members, she wished for continued peace and tranquility in the country. Leyla Aliyeva presented gifts to the family members and took a commemorative photo with them.
Senior Warrant Officer of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Shahin Allahyarov fought for the liberation of Fuzuli, Jabrayil, and Shusha during the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020. The heroic serviceman was martyred on November 1 during the battles for Shusha and was buried in the Quba district. For the bravery displayed during the military operations, President Ilham Aliyev posthumously awarded Shahin Allahyarov the title of "Hero of the Patriotic War," the highest military distinction in Azerbaijan.
