Lavrov: Yaxın Şərq münaqişələri Qərbin siyasətinin nəticəsidir

The Russian Foreign Minister has issued a statement regarding the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, attributing the instability to Western geopolitical strategies.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed that conflicts in the Middle East and other regions have been shaped by the policies of Western nations.

“Many of these conflicts, including the Ukraine crisis, were organized by geopolitical engineers who view the world with a neocolonial lens from the main capitals of Western Europe and North America,” Lavrov stated. These remarks were made against the backdrop of escalating tensions across the Middle East. According to official reports, Lavrov held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on April 14, during which the two sides discussed opportunities for a peaceful resolution to regional crises. Both ministers expressed their readiness to cooperate in reducing tensions and supporting diplomatic solutions.

The dialogue between Moscow and Ankara occurs at a critical juncture for regional security. Azerbaijan, which maintains balanced diplomatic relations with both Russia and Türkiye, has frequently emphasized the importance of stability in the Middle East and the South Caucasus. As a key player in regional energy and transport projects, Azerbaijan continues to advocate for the resolution of international disputes based on the principles of international law and territorial integrity, recognizing that regional volatility can have far-reaching impacts on global economic security.
