Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany assessed his side’s 2-2 draw with Augsburg in the fifth round of the Bundesliga.
Kompany said the team were unhappy with the result, although the away match had been difficult. He said Bayern created numerous scoring chances, but mistakes allowed their opponents to score twice. The coach added that, given those errors, even a defeat could have been a fair outcome.
The head coach said Bayern had taken 29 shots on goal and had four goals ruled out for offside. Kompany described the result as a bitter one, but stressed that the team had many matches ahead and had to keep fighting.
Fellhauer opened the scoring for Augsburg in the first minute. Bayern’s Saibari equalized in the 55th minute, before Ribeiro put the hosts back in front in the 64th. Braun sealed the final score in the 80th minute.
