Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has shared his thoughts on the team’s busy schedule. He said the players want to play and that the squad is capable of handling the upcoming matches.
“We want to go into every game with 100% confidence. I would prefer to play every three days rather than take a long break. The players want to play anyway. In addition, we have to beat Magdeburg in the cup — it is like a final. We also want to put in confident performances in the other competitions,” Kompany said.
The head coach noted that managing the players’ workload requires taking upcoming fixtures into account. He said decisions in this regard should reflect how tired the players are.
“It has been seven years since I entered this profession. You always have to give 100% — only then is it possible to manage the workload properly. When players are tired, you have to make the appropriate decisions, but there is no need for that at the moment. We will make decisions that are right for the team,” Kompany stressed.
