Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has responded to the message of gratitude from his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, regarding the relations between the two neighboring countries.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the Azerbaijani MFA head shared his remarks on his official X social media account. "Your sincere words and gratitude are valuable to us. The peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran are friendly and brotherly nations. This forms the foundation of our mutual respect and historical ties. We wish Iran peace and tranquility as soon as possible!" Bayramov stated in his post.
Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Iran have recently seen increased engagement aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and addressing shared security concerns. As neighboring states with a long shared history and a 700-kilometer border, both nations play a critical role in regional transport corridors and energy initiatives. This exchange between the foreign ministers underscores a mutual commitment to maintaining stable bilateral ties and fostering a peaceful environment in the South Caucasus and the Middle East.
