Jackals have reportedly attacked residents in Imamqulukend village in Gusar district.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing AzTV, that three people sought hospital treatment following separate incidents in recent days.

Gusar District Central Hospital said two people were admitted on October 10 and one on October 12 with diagnoses of jackal bites.

They received the necessary medical care and were discharged for outpatient treatment at home.

Village residents say such incidents occur regularly. They say they have contacted the relevant authorities but believe no necessary measures have yet been taken to prevent attacks by wild animals.

Gusar is a district in northeastern Azerbaijan, where rural settlements are located near natural habitats for wildlife. Encounters between people and wild animals can pose risks to residents, particularly when animals enter populated areas.
