Jabbar Musayev appointed Prime Minister of Nakhchivan

Jabbar Musayev has been relieved of his duties as the Head of the Nakhchivan City Executive Power of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree on the personnel change, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

Following the presentation by the President of Azerbaijan, the Ali Majlis (Supreme Assembly) of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic approved the appointment of Jabbar Musayev as the new Prime Minister of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Prior to this appointment, Musayev had been serving as the head of the local executive authority in Nakhchivan city.

The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is a landlocked exclave of Azerbaijan, governed by its own legislature and cabinet under the constitutional framework of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The appointment of a new Prime Minister is part of ongoing administrative reforms aimed at enhancing governance and economic development within the region, which holds strategic importance for Azerbaijan's regional connectivity and territorial integrity.
