Israeli occupiers attacked Palestinian olive pickers on Friday in Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, assaulting several farmers and setting three vehicles on fire, local sources told Anadolu.

The group also attacked the outskirts of the town, the sources said.

On Monday, the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said it had documented 136 attacks linked to the olive harvest since the start of October. The incidents were attributed to Israeli forces and occupiers.

The commission said the attacks included beatings, expulsions, intimidation, gunfire, tear gas and arrests, as well as the theft of olives and harvesting equipment and damage to trees. It said the incidents caused losses for farmers and restricted their access to agricultural land.

Attacks by Israeli forces and occupiers against Palestinians and their property across the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, have intensified since Israel’s war on Gaza began in October 2023, according to the report.
