Israeli forces raided the occupied West Bank city of Nablus early Wednesday and demolished memorials to Palestinians killed, local sources told Anadolu Agency.

During the raid, the Israeli military imposed curfews in several areas, detained Palestinians and turned Karman School on Kashika Street into a field interrogation centre, the sources said. Forces entered from several directions with military vehicles and a bulldozer, then deployed across several neighbourhoods.

A military bulldozer demolished memorials in the Al-Dawar and Ras al-Ain areas, according to the sources. Several Palestinians were detained, including journalist Amir Istitiyeh. Detainees were questioned at the school, and some were beaten, local sources said.

Also on Wednesday, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes in Deir Nizam, northwest of Ramallah. They damaged property, set a vehicle on fire and spray-painted racist slogans in Hebrew on the walls of several homes, local sources told Anadolu.

The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said Israeli settlers had carried out more than 14,742 attacks across the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 2023, killing 66 Palestinians.
