The Israeli army has violated the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip 1,620 times over the four months since the arrangement came into effect.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that foreign media outlets released these figures citing an official statement from the Palestinian government's Media Office in Gaza.

According to the written statement, the Israeli military has engaged in systematic breaches of the agreement, undermining international human rights and the humanitarian protocols attached to the ceasefire. "Israel continues to heavily and systematically violate the agreement since the ceasefire decision came into effect, deliberately undermining the essence of the ceasefire and the provisions of the humanitarian protocol attached to it. Over a four-month period, the Israeli army violated the agreement 1,620 times," the report stated.

The Media Office detailed the nature of these violations, noting that the Israeli army breached the ceasefire by opening fire 560 times and entering neighborhoods and residential areas with military equipment on 79 occasions. Furthermore, the report documented 749 separate bombardment and targeting operations, as well as the demolition of 232 residential houses and various other buildings during the period.

The situation in the Gaza Strip remains a focal point of international concern as humanitarian organizations continue to call for a stable cessation of hostilities to allow for the delivery of essential aid. The ongoing conflict has led to significant displacement and a deepening humanitarian crisis in the region, with international mediators frequently attempting to stabilize the fragile truce between the parties involved.
