Russian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Islam Makhachev has successfully defended his title in the main event of the UFC 330 tournament held in Philadelphia, securing a victory over Irish challenger Ian Garry.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the judges reached a unanimous decision in favor of the Russian fighter following the conclusion of the five-round bout.
With this result, the 34-year-old Makhachev has successfully retained his UFC welterweight championship title. He originally claimed the belt in November 2025 after defeating Jack Della Maddalena.
Makhachev now holds a professional MMA record of 29 victories and one defeat. Conversely, 28-year-old Ian Garry, who entered the fight with 17 career wins, has now suffered his second professional loss.
