In the first seven months of this year, investments in fixed capital in Azerbaijan reached 11 billion 111.9 million manats. This figure represents a significant uptick in economic activity across the country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports this data citing the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the official report, this volume of investment marks a 10.7% increase in real terms compared to the same period last year.

A key driver of this growth is the non-oil and gas sector, which saw investments rise by 1.9% over the past year, totaling 7 billion 403.3 million manats. This trend reflects the government's ongoing strategic focus on diversifying the national economy and reducing reliance on hydrocarbon exports.

The Azerbaijani government has consistently prioritized the development of non-oil industries, including agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing, as part of its long-term economic development strategy. Increased capital investment in these sectors is viewed as essential for sustainable growth and job creation throughout the regions of Azerbaijan.
