President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Kai-Fu Lee, chief executive officer of China’s “01.AI” and “Sinovation Ventures” companies, and Filippo Malinverno, coordinator of international summits and head of development for Saudi Arabia at Italy’s “TEHA Group,” on Sept. 24.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the guests thanked the head of state for receiving them.
They said they would participate in the Second Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, to be held in Baku under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev, and highlighted the importance of the event.
President Ilham Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan’s close relations with both China and Italy and said that businesspeople from the two countries were investing in Azerbaijan.
The meeting noted the approval of the “Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025–2028.” The sides also discussed Azerbaijan’s favorable business environment and the conditions created for foreign investors alongside local entrepreneurs.
The meeting included an exchange of views on the practical application of artificial intelligence in green energy, cybersecurity, education and other fields, as well as discussions on opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the companies.
