Pakistan's strong condemnation of the act of terror committed against Azerbaijan by Iran once again reflects the deep-rooted friendship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, President Ilham Aliyev said.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif. During the call, the President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan emphasized that the two countries always stand by each other in both good and difficult times, expressing their readiness to provide any necessary mutual support.
The relationship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan is characterized by a high-level strategic partnership, with Pakistan being one of the first countries to recognize Azerbaijan's independence. The two nations maintain close cooperation across various sectors, including defense, economy, and energy. Pakistan has consistently supported Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty on the international stage, particularly regarding the Garabagh region, while Azerbaijan maintains a supportive stance toward Pakistan on several regional issues.
