President Ilham Aliyev has held a one-on-one meeting with US Vice President James David Vance in Baku on February 10.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the meeting followed the arrival of the US Vice President in Azerbaijan for an official working visit. During the restricted-format session, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for future cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States.
The visit underscores the strategic importance of Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus region and its role in global energy security. High-level diplomatic engagements between Baku and Washington typically focus on regional stability, economic partnerships, and the ongoing peace process in the region. This meeting serves as a significant platform for aligning interests on international security and strengthening the diplomatic ties between the two nations under the administration of US President Donald Trump.
