Ilham Aliyev calls Georgia’s Prime Minister Kobakhidze

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze today.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the President’s Press Service issued information about the call.

President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Irakli Kobakhidze on his birthday and wished him good health and success in his activities, as well as prosperity for the Georgian people.

Georgia’s prime minister expressed his gratitude to the head of state for the attention.

During the phone call, the sides exchanged views on the development of the existing strategic partnership and good-neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain close political and economic ties, with cooperation spanning trade, transport, energy and regional connectivity. The two neighboring countries also regularly discuss projects aimed at strengthening links between Europe and Asia.
