President Ilham Aliyev has approved the “2027-2029 National Action Plan for developing competition and preventing monopolistic activity.”

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the head of state signed a new decree to this effect.

The Cabinet of Ministers must address the issues arising from the decree. The State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President must coordinate implementation of the measures included in the National Action Plan and report to the head of state once a year on the progress made. The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication will monitor and evaluate implementation at the request of the State Agency.

The action plan is intended to strengthen competitive conditions, improve oversight of consumer markets and support measures against monopolistic practices in Azerbaijan. Its implementation will involve coordination among government bodies and regular assessment of progress.
