The deputy and personal secretary to Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has been killed in a targeted strike in Beirut.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released an official statement confirming the elimination of Ali Yusuf Harshi. According to military sources, Harshi, who was a close relative of Naim Qassem, was neutralized during an operation conducted by the IDF in the Lebanese capital.
The IDF statement emphasized that Harshi played a significant role within the organization's leadership structure, serving as a key aide to the group's top commander. The operation is part of a broader intensification of military activities in the region, targeting high-ranking officials and strategic infrastructure associated with the group in Lebanon.
The security situation in Lebanon remains highly volatile as cross-border tensions continue to escalate. Beirut has seen a series of precision strikes in recent weeks aimed at degrading the command-and-control capabilities of Hezbollah. International observers note that the loss of high-level personnel like Harshi represents a significant blow to the group's internal coordination and leadership security protocols.
