Heavy showers and thunderstorms are possible in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula from the evening of Oct. 2 until the morning of Oct. 3. Intermittent rainy weather is expected to continue until the morning of Oct. 4.
According to information provided by the National Hydrometeorological Service to the Operative Information Center-OMM, temperatures will gradually fall by 5-8 degrees Celsius compared with previous days, reaching 14-16 degrees overnight and 16-18 degrees during the day on Oct. 3.
Unsettled weather and intermittent precipitation are expected across Azerbaijan from Oct. 2 to 5. Heavy showers, thunderstorms and hail are possible in some districts of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Garabagh and Eastern Zangezur, Gazakh-Ganja, Balakan-Sheki, Central Aran, Guba-Gusar and the mountainous Shirvan region. Snow is expected in mountainous areas, and precipitation may intensify in some places on the evening of Oct. 2 and on Oct. 3.
Rainfall may raise water levels in rivers. Short-term flooding and mudflows are possible on some rivers in the Greater and Lesser Caucasus, the Lankaran-Astara region and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Temperatures across the country are expected to gradually fall by 5-10 degrees Celsius compared with previous days.
